Water Quality
FRED THE FISH
Follow along as Fred the Fish makes his way down the Little River and experiences the effects of stormwater runoff. This activity is paired with What is a Watershed, What is a Wetland, a water quality matching game, a book reading, or a coloring activity.

Students create their own mini watersheds in this hands-on activity to learn about watersheds and stormwater runoff.

SOIL EROSION
In this experiment, students are able to visualize the effects of soil erosion and it’s negative affects on our waterways.

In this experiment, students learn how wetlands work and why they are important in our environment.

Waste Management
LITTER LESSON
Litter Lessons teach students the negative effects of litter as well as litter prevention and eradication. Can be followed with a school litter pick-up.

The 3 R’s
The 3 R’s lesson teaches students all about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. After the lesson, students will be able to use what they learned to play a recycle relay or recycle sorting game.

COMPOSTING 101
Composting 101 introduces students to the importance of composting in terms of waste reduction and how to best compost organic materials.

PAPER-MAKING
Students will learn how paper is recycled by making recycled paper of their own.

SCHOOL LITTER PICK-UP
Keep Blount Beautiful will provide trash bags and gloves so students can pick up litter on their school property.

Energy
Energy Conservation
Students will learn the importance of conserving energy use and how they can conserve energy in their home. Followed by an energy conservation matching game.
Grade Level- 2nd-5th
Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy
Similar to the Energy Conservation lesson, students will learn about renewable and non-renewable energy. Followed by an energy conservation matching game.

Other
RECYCLED CRAFT
KBB will provide materials to make a recycled craft, such as steel can planters and egg carton seed starters.
