Opportunities

Wonder why our streets are so clean? KBB litter lifters regularly pick up litter on our roadsides, parks, parking lots, river banks, streams and rivers. If you see volunteers wearing a bright orange vest be sure to thank them for Keeping Blount Beautiful!

Event Crew

KBB holds an average of 3-4 special events per year.  Event volunteers may help check in litter lifters during our Great American Clean Up Event, help unload recyclables during America Recycles Day or hand out packets during the Drug Take-Back Day.  If you are interested in event volunteerism email us at keepblo@earthlink.net to be added to our volunteer email list.

Internship

College students can learn how a non-profit works and be of service to the community.  We accept summer interns, work/study, Bonner Scholars and other programs.

Landfill Tour Leaders

Are you a retired teacher and looking for something to occupy your time? This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.  Keep Blount Beautiful provides Landfill Tours for children of all ages at the Alcoa/Maryville/Blount County Landfill.

The tour normally runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with lunch and activities to follow at a local park or at the school. The day ends around 1 p.m.

For more information about the tours, click here.

High School Community Service
