It is the goal of Keep Blount Beautiful for every student to visit our local landfill before they reach the
sixth grade. We have been achieving this goal since 2004.
Our FREE Landfill Fieldtrips consist of a 1 1/2 - 2 hour tour of the landfill, Waste Free Lunch (which each child
provides), Fred the Fish Stormwater Pollution Program, Compost Disection, The Great Trash Pick up and Recycle Relay.
From start to finish the fieldtrip lasts 4 hours.
Our tour covers reducing, reusing , recycling, stormwater pollution, litter & composting.
Due to the loss of our Learning Center at the landfill, lunch and activities take place at your school or a park pavilion
of your choice.
