- Landfill Field trips are weather dependent because they are completely outside. Trips will be cancelled
in case of lightening or heavy rain. Please contact Charlene at either 681-4809 or 386-6917 if weather is
ever a question the morning before a field trip.
- It is often cooler at the landfill than in the rest of the county due to a constant breeze. A light
jacket is required during spring and fall and dressing in layers is suggested.
- Bugs such as mosquitoes can be pests during the spring, so please come prepared. Bug spray will
not be provided on the field trip.
- We are outside the entire time, bring enough water to last for 4 hours, it can get hot out late Spring early Summer or
even late Fall.
