In order to receive hours for community service, please follow these instructions in order:

1. Contact Keep Blount Beautiful at 681-4809 at least a week in advance to schedule litter pick up. 

 

2. Fill out a volunteer waiver and pick up litter supplies (bags, gloves, vests, litter pickers) at the Keep Blount Beautiful office: Ellis Place, 373 Ellis Avenue.  You must call before you visit our office to make sure we are in.

 

3. Complete community service hours through litter pick up.  Area can be chosen or recommended.

 

4. Call Keep Blount Beautiful at 681-4809 to report location of bagged litter, hours served and number of bags.

 

5. Only after your litter bags have been verified by the Blount County Litter Crew and picked up, plus supplies returned will the volunteer receive a signature or confirmation of service hours.

 

6.  Plan accordingly, if you know you have 30 hours to serve and you contact KBB the day before your hours are due it's too late.  You MUST complete your hours before we will approve your service.  Do not ask KBB to sign your sheet before hours are served.

KBB is a one employee and one 10-month Americorps Service Member organization. Although we are not able to provide supervised community service programs, we do accept community service volunteers for Litter Lifters, which means, you will be picking up litter.
