Most of Blount County is settled in the Little River Watershed along the TN River basin, but what does that mean?
A watershed is an area or ridge of land that separates waters flowing to different rivers, basins, or seas. The Little River is 60 miles of beautiful scenery, with 18 of those miles running through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Keep Blount Beautiful offers tons of opportunities to get outside, be active, and help keep the watershed beautiful. Coming up on October 19th is our Pistol Creek Clean Up! Take this opportunity to get outside and clean the community before it gets too cold.
