Blount County's Great American CleanUp

Keep Blount Beautiful has announced a brand new event for 2011, “BlountCounty’s Great American CleanUp”. They will be hosting several events from March 1st – June 10th. Keep Blount Beautiful is also looking for volunteers to clean up litter anytime/anyday during BlountCounty’s Great American CleanUp. Litter has increased in our area and we need to work together in fighting this problem. Keep Blount Beautiful offers free clean up supplies 365 days a year to include: trash bags, gloves, safety vests, safety signs, litter pickers and bag pick-up service when your clean up is complete. Please join Keep Blount Beautiful in this effort.

“We are so excited to expand our programs this spring. Adding a spring recycling and drug collection day is much needed in BlountCounty, and with the new event we are able to offer multiple programs.” states Charlene DeSha, Keep Blount Beautiful Coordinator. “Thank you to Spectra Recycling for be the first sponsor for this new event!”
